The City of El Paso invites the community to celebrate the completion of improvements to the Bear Ridge Trailhead with a ribbon-cutting ceremony followed by a free evening hike.
Tucked along the scenic foothills of the Franklin Mountains in West El Paso, the new trailhead provides an improved entryway for hikers, cyclists, and outdoor enthusiasts with new amenities and a welcoming starting point to explore the Bear Ridge Trail.
The approximate $500,000 investment in the recreational public space includes:
· Convenient parking, pedestrian walkways, and ADA-compliant ramps and handrails
· A water fountain for visitors and pets
